About this tool
Enter your yearly employment income and any other deductions such as social security, insurance or provident fund. The tool applies the 50 percent expense deduction (up to 100,000 baht), the 60,000 baht personal allowance and the progressive rates from 0 to 35 percent.
The rates used
Taxable income up to 150,000 baht is exempt. Then 5 percent up to 300,000; 10 percent up to 500,000; 15 percent up to 750,000; 20 percent up to 1,000,000; 25 percent up to 2,000,000; 30 percent up to 5,000,000; and 35 percent above.
Deductions
The tool subtracts an expense deduction of 50 percent of income, at most 100,000 baht, and the personal allowance of 60,000 baht. Add other allowances, such as social security up to 9,000 baht, life insurance and provident fund, in the other deductions box.
Worked example
An income of 600,000 baht with 9,000 of social security: expense 100,000, allowance 60,000, other 9,000, taxable 431,000; tax 7,500 + 13,100 = about 20,600 baht.
Tips for best results
Check every box before you rely on a result, because one wrong digit changes the whole answer. Use the exact figures from your payslip, bill, certificate or contract, and keep a note of the date you calculated. Rates, thresholds and rules change from time to time, so for tax, fees and legal matters treat the output as an estimate and confirm with the official source named on this page. You can run as many scenarios as you like; nothing is saved or sent, and refreshing the page clears the boxes.
