About this tool
The 13th month pay is one-twelfth of the basic salary earned in a calendar year. Enter your monthly basic salary and the number of months you worked, and the tool shows the basic salary earned and the amount of your 13th month pay.
The rule
Presidential Decree 851 requires rank-and-file employees who worked at least one month in the year to receive a 13th month pay, paid on or before 24 December. The amount is the total basic salary earned from January to December divided by 12.
What counts as basic salary
Basic salary does not include overtime, holiday premiums, allowances or commissions unless they are part of the basic pay. If your pay changed during the year, add up what you actually earned and divide by 12.
Worked example
A basic salary of PHP 25,000 for 12 months: earned 300,000, 13th month pay PHP 25,000. If you worked 8 months: earned 200,000, 13th month pay PHP 16,667.
Tips for best results
Check every box before you rely on a result, because one wrong digit changes the whole answer. Use the exact figures from your payslip, bill, certificate or contract, and keep a note of the date you calculated. Rates, thresholds and rules change from time to time, so for tax, fees and legal matters treat the output as an estimate and confirm with the official source named on this page. You can run as many scenarios as you like; nothing is saved or sent, and refreshing the page clears the boxes.
