About this tool

Many email systems and portals reject large files. Enter the largest size you can send and the tool divides the PDF at page boundaries into parts that each fit, then gives you all parts in one ZIP.

How the parts are made

Each page is measured and pages are added to a part until the next would pass the limit. Parts always break between pages, so one single page that is larger than the limit becomes its own part. Sizes are estimates with a small safety margin, because shared fonts inside a part can make it a little smaller.

Tips

If a single page is huge, compress the PDF first. To split by page numbers instead, use Split PDF.

Worked example

A 24 MB scan with 60 pages split at 5 MB becomes about 5 parts of 12 pages each.

Tips for best results

Work on a copy of your file and keep the original until you have checked the result. Open the output before you send it to a portal, an employer or an office, and look at every page. If a size limit applies, check how the receiving site measures it, because some count a kilobyte as 1000 bytes and others as 1024. All processing happens inside your browser tab on your own device, so large files depend on your device memory and may take a little longer on a phone.
