About this tool

Open any PDF and read it with a sidebar of page thumbnails and the document outline, a search that finds every match and highlights it on the page, zoom, fit to width, rotate and print. Text can be selected and copied. The file stays on your device, and password-protected PDFs open after you enter the password.

How to use it

Choose a file or drop it on the page. Click a thumbnail or a bookmark to jump to that place. Type a word and press Search to list every match with the page number, then step through them with the arrow buttons. Use Fit width on a phone and zoom in for small print.

Good to know

The reader shows the PDF as it is; to change the file use Edit PDF, and to add or fix bookmarks use the Bookmarks Editor. Scanned pages have no text to search until you run OCR.

Worked example

Open a 120-page manual, search for warranty, jump through the 14 matches and print only the page you need.

Tips for best results

Take a moment to read the options before you start, and try the tool with a small sample first. Everything runs in your browser on your own device, so nothing you type or add is uploaded, and closing the tab clears it. If something does not look right, reload the page and try again, or use the report link on this page to tell us what went wrong so we can fix it. If a result still looks wrong, change one value at a time to see which box matters most. Bookmark this page if you will need the tool again.
