About this tool

Add a text-based PDF and get an EPUB file with its paragraphs grouped into chapters of the size you choose. EPUB reflows to the screen, so reading on a phone or e-reader is easier than a fixed PDF page.

What the e-book contains

The text of the pages in order, with a contents list. Pictures, columns and page design are not reproduced, which keeps the file small and readable. Give the book a title or let the file name be used.

Scanned PDFs

A scan has no text layer, so run OCR first. Only convert books you have the right to use.

Tips for best results

Work on a copy of your file and keep the original until you have checked the result. Open the output before you send it to a portal, an employer or an office, and look at every page. If a size limit applies, check how the receiving site measures it, because some count a kilobyte as 1000 bytes and others as 1024. All processing happens inside your browser tab on your own device, so large files depend on your device memory and may take a little longer on a phone.
