About this tool
Enter a year from 1583. The tool calculates Western Easter Sunday with the standard computus, and also shows Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Pentecost and Orthodox Easter.
How Easter is set
Western Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after 21 March, so it can fall between 22 March and 25 April. Orthodox churches use the Julian calendar for the same rule, which puts their Easter one to five weeks later in most years.
