About this tool
Choose a PDF and decide whether to keep the odd pages (1, 3, 5…) or the even pages (2, 4, 6…). The new PDF is built in your browser and the original is not changed. It is useful for double-sided printing, for splitting a duplex scan and for separating front and back sides.
When it helps
If you print on both sides by hand, print the odd pages first, turn the stack over and print the even pages. Scanners with a single-sided feeder often produce odd pages in one run and even pages in another; this tool lets you split or check them.
Keeping the order
Pages stay in their original order. To reverse the order of the result, run the file through the Reverse PDF Pages tool afterwards.
Privacy
The PDF is processed locally; nothing is uploaded.
Tips for best results
Work on a copy of your file and keep the original until you have checked the result. Open the output before you send it to a portal, an employer or an office, and look at every page. If a size limit applies, check how the receiving site measures it, because some count a kilobyte as 1000 bytes and others as 1024. All processing happens inside your browser tab on your own device, so large files depend on your device memory and may take a little longer on a phone.
