About this tool

Enter the loan amount, the interest rate, the term and how often you pay. The calculator gives the repayment and total interest, and shows how much interest an offset account balance saves and how much sooner the loan ends. Rates and rules change each year, so use the result as a guide and check the official source.

How it works

The repayment uses the loan, rate and term for each payment period. An offset account balance reduces the amount interest is charged on.

Example

A $600,000 loan at 6.2 percent over 30 years costs about $3,675 a month. A $50,000 offset saves interest and shortens the loan.
