About this tool

Enter a percentage and choose the scale. The tool multiplies the percentage by the scale and divides by 100. It is a simple estimate for forms that ask for a CGPA when you only have marks.

When it helps

Some applications ask for CGPA but your result sheet shows only percentage. This gives a quick equivalent. Official conversion tables of a university always win over a simple formula.

Example

75 percent on a 4.0 scale becomes 3.00, and on a 5.0 scale 3.75.

Good practice

State the method used if a form has a remarks field, and attach the transcript where possible.
