About this tool

Add a ODT (OpenDocument Text) file and get a PDF with its headings, paragraphs, lists and tables. ODT files are common from LibreOffice Writer, OpenOffice and many government and open source setups; a PDF is easier to share and print because it looks the same on every device. The conversion runs in your browser, so the file is not uploaded.

How to convert ODT to PDF

Add the ODT file, choose the text size if you want, and press the button. The tool reads the text and structure of the document and lays it out on A4 pages.

What is kept

Headings, paragraphs, lists and simple tables are kept. Embedded images, page headers and complex formatting such as columns and text boxes are not reproduced, so check the result for important documents.

Privacy

The file is read inside your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, which makes it suitable for private letters and documents.

After converting

Use Compress PDF if the result must stay under a limit such as 200 KB, or merge it with other PDFs.

ファイルのコピーで作業し、結果を確認するまで元のファイルを保管してください。ポータル、雇用主、機関に送る前に、出力を開いてすべてのページを確認しましょう。サイズ制限がある場合は、受け取る側のサイトがどう計測するかを確認してください。1キロバイトを1000バイトと数えるところも、1024バイトと数えるところもあります。処理はすべて端末のブラウザタブ内で行われるため、大きなファイルは端末のメモリに左右され、スマートフォンでは少し時間がかかることがあります。
