About this tool

What counts as metadata
Title, author, subject, keywords, creator program, producer and dates. Some PDFs also carry XMP data, which this tool clears too. The page content is untouched.

No. Only the file details are removed, nothing on the pages changes.

No, they stay. To hide text on the pages use the "Redact PDF" tool.
