About this tool
Hide ID numbers, phone numbers or names before sharing a file. Simply placing a black box on top leaves the text underneath, but here the text and picture content under the area is truly removed from the file. Document metadata is also cleaned.
When to use it
Black out private information such as names, ID numbers and addresses before you share a PDF. The tool can search for words, emails and numbers and cover every match.
Tips
Drawing a black rectangle in an ordinary editor does not remove the text underneath. This tool removes the content under the boxes. Check the result by trying to select the covered area.

No. The tool actually removes that text and image content from the file instead of just painting over it.
Can I remove a word everywhere?
Yes. Type it in "Find and remove a word". Word search does not work on scanned PDFs, so draw boxes there.
