About this tool
Pick a date and see the day of the week and the day number in the year. It works for past and future dates, so you can check your birthday, a historical event or a future deadline.
What it is for
People look up the weekday of a birth date, an anniversary, a land document or an exam date. The result uses the Gregorian calendar.
How it works
The calculation uses the calendar rules built into your browser, including leap years. Dates before 1582 follow the proleptic Gregorian calendar and may differ from the Julian dates used at the time.
