About this tool
Estimate your Zakat. Add your cash, gold and silver (in grams), investments, business stock and money owed to you, then take away your debts. Enter today’s gold and silver price per gram yourself. The nisab is taken as the value of 612.36 grams of silver. If your net wealth is above it, Zakat is 2.5 percent. This is a helpful estimate; ask a qualified scholar about your own situation.
When to use it
Estimate the Zakat due on cash, gold, silver, investments and business assets, once your wealth is above the nisab for a lunar year.
Tips
Subtract debts you owe. The rate is 2.5 percent. For personal rulings ask a qualified scholar.
