About this tool
Enter a temperature and choose the unit it is in. You get the value in Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin. The formula is °F = °C × 9/5 + 32.
Formulas
Fahrenheit = Celsius × 9/5 + 32. Celsius = (Fahrenheit − 32) × 5/9. Kelvin = Celsius + 273.15.
Handy reference
0 °C is 32 °F, the freezing point of water. 20 °C is 68 °F, a comfortable room. 37 °C is 98.6 °F, normal body temperature. 100 °C is 212 °F, boiling water at sea level.
Quick trick
Double the Celsius value and add 30 for a rough Fahrenheit figure.
Weather feel
0 °C is freezing, 10 °C is cool, 20 °C is mild, 30 °C is hot and 40 °C is very hot. In Fahrenheit that is 32, 50, 68, 86 and 104.
With the boxes at their starting values (Temperature: 20; Unit: Celsius), the tool shows: Celsius (°C): 20.00; Kelvin (K): 293.15; Fahrenheit (°F): 68.00. Change any box to see your own numbers. The result updates as you type, and nothing leaves your browser.
