Pick a platform and see the pixel sizes to use for posts, stories, covers, banners and profile pictures. The numbers are the commonly recommended sizes, which give sharp results without being cropped awkwardly. Use the resize tools on this site to make a picture exactly that size in your browser.

Why exact sizes matter

Platforms scale and crop pictures to their own frames. A picture with the right pixel size and proportion looks sharp and keeps the subject where you put it, while a wrong size gets blurred or cut at the edges.

Making the picture

Use the resize pages on this site, for example the 1080 × 1080 Instagram post, the 1080 × 1920 story or the 1200 × 630 share image, to fit a photo to the frame without stretching.

Safe zones

Keep text and faces away from the edges, especially at the top and bottom of vertical stories where buttons and captions sit.
