Choose an activity, enter your weight and how long you did it. The calculator uses MET values, a standard way to compare the effort of activities. The result is an estimate and varies with fitness, speed and conditions.
When to use it
Estimate the calories you burn in an activity from weight and time.
Tips
Use your real weight. Intensity changes the result.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser, so your data is not uploaded or stored.
Typical figures
A 70 kg person burns roughly 280 calories in 30 minutes of brisk walking, 350 in cycling and 500 in running at a moderate pace. Intensity, age and fitness change these.
With the boxes at their starting values (Activity: Walking (slow); Your weight (kg): 70; Time (minutes): 30), the tool shows: MET value: 3.5; Calories per hour: 245; Calories burned: 123 kcal. Change any box to see your own numbers. The result updates as you type, and nothing leaves your browser.

What is a MET?
A measure of effort. One MET is the energy you use sitting at rest. Running at a good pace is about 10 METs.
Why does it differ from my watch?
Fitness trackers use heart rate and other data, so their results can differ.
How is it calculated?
With MET values for each activity.
Is it exact?
No. It is an estimate.
Do more minutes always mean more calories?
Yes, but intensity matters as much as time.
