About this tool
Choose a shape and enter its measurements. The calculator gives the area and perimeter of flat shapes, and the surface area and volume of solids. Use the same unit for every measurement; the answer is in that unit squared or cubed.

Formulas
Circle area is pi r squared, circumference 2 pi r. Triangle area is half base times height. Sphere volume is 4/3 pi r cubed and cylinder volume is pi r squared h.
