About this tool
See what a mortgage costs each month. Enter the property price, your deposit, the interest rate and the number of years. Choose a repayment mortgage (you pay off the loan) or interest-only. You get the monthly payment, the loan to value, the total interest and the total repaid. It works in pounds, dollars, euros or taka. This is an estimate for a fixed rate; fees and rate changes are not included.
When to use it
Calculate a monthly mortgage payment from the loan, rate and term and see total interest.
Tips
Test a higher rate to see how you would cope. Add taxes, insurance and fees to the monthly budget. Shorter terms cost less interest overall.

Everything runs in your browser, so your data is not uploaded or stored.

What is loan to value (LTV)?
It is the loan divided by the property price. A bigger deposit means a lower LTV and often a better rate.
Is this my exact payment?
No. Your lender’s offer decides the real figure.
Is it for fixed or variable rates?
It assumes a fixed rate for the term.
Does it include fees?
No. Add fees and insurance separately.
