About this tool
Know how many SMS your message will cost. The tool detects GSM-7 or Unicode text, shows the characters per segment (160 or 70, and 153 or 67 for longer messages) and the number of segments. Messages with Bangla or emoji use Unicode, which is shorter. It also shows limits for X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and search-result titles.
When to use it
Count SMS characters and segments, and check social media limits before you send.
Tips
A plain SMS is 160 characters. Unicode text such as Bangla is 70 per segment.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser, so your data is not uploaded or stored.

Why does Bangla use more SMS?
Bangla needs Unicode (UCS-2), where one SMS holds only 70 characters instead of 160.
