About this tool

Enter the distance, your vehicle’s kilometres per litre and the price of fuel. Tick round trip to double the distance. Add tolls or parking and the number of people to share the cost. Good for family trips, carpooling and office cars.

When to use it

Estimate the fuel cost of a trip and split it between people.

Tips

Add tolls and parking. Use the real fuel price.

Privacy

Everything runs in your browser, so your data is not uploaded or stored.

Plan for the extras

Besides fuel, add tolls, parking, food and any vehicle wear. For shared trips, divide the total by the people so everybody knows the share before the journey.

Przykład z rozwiązaniem

With the boxes at their starting values (One-way distance (km): 120; Vehicle efficiency (km per litre): 12; Fuel price per litre: 120; People sharing: 4; Tolls, parking and other costs: 0; Round trip: Yes), the tool shows: Total distance: 240 km; Fuel needed (litres): 20.0; Fuel cost: 2,400.00; Other costs: 0.00; Per person: 600.00; Total trip cost: 2,400.00. Change any box to see your own numbers. The result updates as you type, and nothing leaves your browser.
