How to Write an Application in Bangla (দরখাস্ত): Formats and Examples
A clear structure for Bangla application letters for leave, jobs, testimonials, TC and fee waiver, plus a free tool that formats them for you.
A দরখাস্ত (application) follows a standard shape in Bangladesh. Schools, offices and government bodies expect it, and a letter with the wrong order or the wrong form of address can look careless. The Bangla Application Writer fills the format for you.
Quick answer
Choose the type of application (leave, job, testimonial request, transfer certificate or fee waiver), fill in names, dates and reasons, and the tool prints a correctly ordered letter in Bangla. You can copy it or save it as a PDF.
The standard structure
- Date at the top right or left.
- To (প্রতি) and the designation of the receiver, with the institution and address.
- Subject (বিষয়) in one clear line.
- Salutation: "জনাব" or "মহোদয়".
- Body: who you are, what you request, and why, in short paragraphs.
- Closing: a respectful request, then "বিনীত নিবেদক" or "আপনার একান্ত বাধ্যগত".
- Name, class/designation, roll or ID, signature and contact number.
Which type to choose
- Leave application: for a day or several days, with the dates and reason.
- Job application: for a post that is advertised, with qualifications and attached documents.
- Testimonial request: when a school or college is asked to certify character or studies.
- Transfer certificate (TC): when moving from one school to another.
- Fee waiver: when a student asks for a reduction or exemption of fees.
Tips for a strong application
- Keep the subject line short and specific, for example "তিন দিনের ছুটির জন্য আবেদন".
- State the reason honestly and briefly; long stories weaken the request.
- Mention attached documents (certificate copies, medical papers) in the closing.
- Print clearly on plain A4 and sign by hand.
- Check names and dates twice before submission.
