About this tool

Every PDF can hold the author's name, the title, the software used and the date. Remove all of that here; the text and pictures on the pages stay the same.

When to use it

PDFs can hide the author name, the software used and the dates. Remove them before sharing a document publicly.

Tips

Check the result with the PDF Metadata tool. Text in the pages is not changed.

Privacy

Everything runs in your browser, so your data is not uploaded or stored.

What counts as metadata

Title, author, subject, keywords, creator program, producer and dates. Some PDFs also carry XMP data, which this tool clears too. The page content is untouched.
