How it works
Litres equal distance times litres per 100 km divided by 100. Cost is litres times price.
Example
500 km at 8 L/100 km and $2 a litre costs $80.

Add tolls and parking separately.

Saving fuel
Steady speed, correct tyre pressure and removing roof racks lower consumption. Highway driving at 110 km/h uses far more fuel than 90 km/h, so a little slower saves noticeably on long trips.
