Add an ODT (OpenDocument Text) file and get its plain text, ready to copy or save as a TXT file. It is handy when you only need the words, for example to paste them into an email, a form or another editor. Nothing is uploaded.

How to get text from ODT

Add the file and press the button. The text appears in the box and can be copied or downloaded as a .txt file with UTF-8 encoding, so Bangla and other scripts are kept.

What you get

Paragraphs and headings become plain lines separated by blank lines. Tables become tab-separated rows, which paste well into a spreadsheet.

Privacy

The file never leaves your device. This is useful for private letters, contracts and notes.

Trabaja con una copia de tu archivo y conserva el original hasta que hayas comprobado el resultado. Abre el resultado antes de enviarlo a un portal, a un empleador o a una oficina, y revisa todas las páginas. Si hay un límite de tamaño, comprueba cómo lo mide el sitio receptor, porque unos cuentan un kilobyte como 1000 bytes y otros como 1024. Todo el procesamiento ocurre dentro de la pestaña de tu navegador, en tu propio dispositivo, así que los archivos grandes dependen de la memoria de tu dispositivo y pueden tardar un poco más en un móvil.
