About this tool
See what you really keep from a UK salary. The calculator uses the 2026/27 rates for England, Wales and Northern Ireland: the personal allowance of £12,570 (reduced above £100,000), 20, 40 and 45 percent income tax, employee National Insurance, pension contributions (with or without salary sacrifice) and student loan plans 1, 2, 4, 5 and postgraduate. It runs in your browser. Scottish tax rates are not included.
When to use it
See your UK take-home pay after income tax and National Insurance, per year, month and week, with pension and student loan options.
Tips
Use your gross salary from the contract. Pension contributions reduce your taxable pay. Compare two offers by their take-home pay, not the gross figure.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser, so your data is not uploaded or stored.
