How to Make Fancy Text (Bold, Script, Bubble) for Bios, Captions and Usernames

Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp and many apps do not give you bold or italics in a bio or a username. Fancy text uses special Unicode characters that look like styled letters, so you can paste them anywhere.

Quick answer

Type your text, see it in many styles at once, tap Copy on the one you like, and paste it into your bio, caption or name.

Styles included

  • Bold, italic and bold-italic
  • Script and gothic
  • Double-struck (outlined)
  • Monospace
  • Small caps
  • Circled and squared letters
  • Wide text
  • Upside down
  • Strikethrough

Steps

  1. Open the tool and type the text.
  2. Look through the previews.
  3. Press copy next to the style.
  4. Paste into the app.

Limits you should know

  • These are characters, not fonts. Screen readers for blind users may read them letter by letter or skip them, so avoid fancy text for important information.
  • Some styles do not exist for numbers or for non-Latin scripts such as Bangla.
  • Older phones may show empty boxes for rare characters.
  • Search engines and platforms may not index fancy text in the same way as normal letters.

Tips

  • Use fancy text for a short name or a single line, not whole paragraphs.
  • Keep a plain-text version of your handle for people who search for it.
  • Do not use it where an exact name is needed, such as legal forms or payments.
