How to Find a Bangladesh Mobile Operator From the Number Prefix
See which operator a Bangladeshi mobile number prefix belongs to: Grameenphone, Banglalink, Robi, Airtel or Teletalk, and why portability matters.

Bangladeshi mobile numbers have eleven digits starting with 01. The three digits after the first zero (such as 017 or 019) originally showed the operator, which is useful for recharge, bundle offers and spotting mistakes.
Quick answer
Type a number with or without +880 or 0. The tool shows the operator that the prefix was issued to.
Prefix table
| Prefix | Operator |
|---|---|
| 013, 017 | Grameenphone |
| 014, 019 | Banglalink |
| 018 | Robi |
| 016 | Airtel (now part of Robi) |
| 015 | Teletalk |
How to use it
- Enter the number, for example 01712345678.
- Read the operator name.
An important caveat
Since mobile number portability (MNP) launched in Bangladesh, people can switch operators and keep the number. The prefix tells you where the number started, not necessarily where it is now. For a recharge or transfer, confirm with the person.
Typical uses
- Choosing the right recharge or bundle.
- Checking whether a number is likely to be valid.
- Spotting wrong digits when typing a number.
Tips
- Valid numbers have 11 digits locally and 13 with +880.
- Never share OTPs or PINs, no matter which operator a caller claims to be from.
- The tool works offline with its table; no number is sent to a server.
